Backlink Tool: How to Build Links With Blog Commenting

Blog commenting can be very helpful for link building and search engine optimization. It actually is one of the few link building strategies that still work after Google Penguin updates. Commenting on other people's blogs is a great way to gain exposure online and drive traffic to your website. This technique can also help you reach a wider audience and interact with potential customers. Take the time to actually read the post and submit a useful comment. You should always remember to treat the blog owner or the author of a post with respect.

Search for blogs that are related to your niche. Read each blog's policy before commenting. Comment on blogs with a good amount of readers and quality content. Choose those that allow DoFollow comment links. Don't add more than one comment on the same post. Reply to those comments that are already there. Stay on topic and write something that adds value to that post. If you leave meaningful comments that provide compelling information, people will click on the link included in your comment box. This way you will get highly targeted traffic and build relevant links to your website.

Blog commenting is not a way for you to promote products or services. Unless you have a very good reason to link to a third party website, don't include links in the comment field. Most blogs allow users to add a link to their websites in a special field, so you don't have to include links within your comment. Don't put your keyword in the "Name" section because it may be considered spam. Use your real name when leaving comments on other people's blogs. Even if you write a good comment, some blog owners and webmasters won't publish your comment if it is under a company name because it seems spammy.

Associate an image with your profile. Get an avatar. The image you choose doesn't have to be your headshot; it can be anything you wish. When people read your comment and connect the branding through your avatar, the chances of getting a click on your URL improves significantly. Keep a record of every blog that you commented on. Leave comments on these blogs regularly. In addition to blog commenting, you can use a backlink tool to generate quality links to your website. When combined, these two strategies can boost your search engine rankings and increase your popularity on the Internet.

The Internet is an excellent resource for finding quality backlink building software. Do some research and find a good backlink tool that can increase your site's popularity and help you achieve a top position in search results.

3-Way Links: Link Building That Google Loves

As an online marketer, you already know that Google rules the roost when it comes to getting traffic to your website. Your site must show up near the top of the results on Google when a user types a search term into the box if you hope to get visitors and shoppers to enter your web store. Since there are more than 8 billion websites on the Internet at last count, it is not that easy to be sure that the web crawlers that Google sends out will locate your site and boost it to the top of the list. One of the best ways to attract the attention of the Google-bots is to acquire a large number of one-way links that point to your site. So, what strategy should you use to gather those links?

Jonathan Leger is a marketing expert who has written several ebooks and developed a number of software products that were all designed to help marketers earn that crucial top-tier Google ranking. After extensive research and a lot of trial and error with his own sites, he has learned that there are three basis types of links that Google is looking for before it will bestow the honor of a good rank on your e-commerce business. In a nutshell, you need:

• Several different link texts. Google does not look kindly on hundreds and hundreds of links to your site that all have exactly the same text. In fact, you may actually be punished and put in the infamous Google "sandbox" if you have too many identical links. Jon Leger says his research shows that creating about 60% of your links with your top search term is good. He then recommends that you use a secondary keyword for about 30% of the links, and 10% for a third term. This method produces the kind of diversity of links that Google loves while keeping your main keywords in the forefront of your efforts.

• A gradual growth in links. The Google-gods will not be pleased if hundreds of new links to your site appear all at once. That is like a huge red flag that says, "These links are from spammy, poor quality link farms." There are some services and unscrupulous SEO experts out there that will do this kind of linking, and it is bad news for any business. Instead, a slow but steady growth in the number of links to your site is the ideal you should strive for.

• Links from many different geographic areas. Likewise, Google is not fond of links that all come from the same IP address, or even several different addresses that are too close together geographically. The best idea is to have incoming links from many different places all around the world.

Ok, so now that you know what Google wants, how do you as a marketer go about making sure Google is pleased? Jonathan Leger has created a product that can satisfy all of the criteria set forth by the search engine giant, and save you lots of time and effort in the process.

3 Way Links

When you sign up as a member of 3 Way Links, you will be joining a vast network of websites that are all looking for links the way you are. It is an easy process to join the program. All you have to do is add the domain you want to promote and your desired keywords into the system. Then, you upload a PHP file to your site from 3 Way Links, and make a link to that file from your home page. That's all you have to do. 3 Way Links then automatically creates links from other sites within the network that follow all the rules that Google sets out.

You will get links with several different texts, from many unique IP addresses, that build up gradually over the course of a few weeks. As an added bonus, none of the links will be simple reciprocal links that are usually ignored by web crawlers. Instead, they all involve three different sites where A links to B, and B links to C, while C links back to A. That way all the links are one-way and are smiled upon by Google. It is a terrific time saver for a busy web master, and a very effective strategy.

Cost

As a businessman, you are undoubtedly interested in the cost of such a valuable service. For $47 a month, you can put as many as 50 sites into the network and receive up to 250 links for each website. That's less than $1 per site per month. When you think of the potential for a return on your investment that is many times larger than your $47, the program sounds like a very good deal, indeed.

A computer geek as a child, Adam C. Cherrington grew up to discover he had a surprising talent for creative internet marketing. He's the creator of more than 100 websites, including Sandtray Therapy Institute, now in its third year online, and SiteGrinder. Organic SEO Services: 6 Easy Ways to Boost Your Internal Linking Structure

A well designed linking structure is the backbone of any website. It affects the conversion rates, the navigation, and the user experience. This element allows you to strategically channel link juice to target landing pages and improves your website's navigation. Ensuring that every page of your site gets found by search engines is probably the simplest thing you can do for your rankings.
Here are six easy ways to boost your internal linking structure:
Get Rid of JavaScript and Flash Links
Remove any links on your website that aren't text. Search engines have a hard time reading Flash, JavaScript, or image links. Use text instead of images to display content and links.
Use Proper Anchor Text
Anchor text links like "Click here" don't work anymore. Try to use anchor text that entices users to click on your links. Include relevant keywords and a call-to-action in your anchor text to improve the rankings of your internal pages for those specific terms. Use multiple variations of your targeted key phrases.
Add Breadcrumbs

Breadcrumbs can enhance the way users navigate your site. These elements help your website visitors keep track of their locations within documents or programs. They reveal the user's location on your website and display all pages leading from the home page to the currently viewed page.
Remove Broken Links
If you have dangling links or broken links on your site, you are losing valuable link juice. By removing broken links, you can improve search engine crawling, increase the number of indexed pages, and achieve better rankings on the internal pages of your site.
Interlink Your Landing Pages
Interlinking all the target landing pages on your site is a great way to scale your link building efforts. Add links inside the main text of the page or show recommendations to your visitors on a separate part of your site. If you link to the most important pages of your website, then you are creating authority for those pages. Every time you write a new blog post or article, look for other pages that you can link to.
Add an XML Sitemap
If you want all of your pages to be indexed, then you should create a sitemap. There are many free tools that you can use for this purpose. A sitemap keeps informed both users and search engines. When a visitor goes to your site, he can access the sitemap to find pages that contain the information he is looking for.
Any company that offers organic SEO services can improve your internal linking structure and boost your search engine rankings. You can also hire virtual assistants to help you build quality links and attract more visitors to your site.

Directory Links for Web Promotion

Now that you have your website up and running, the next important step is to promote that website and receive visitors who hopefully will convert to customers and buyers. This is a step you want to make quickly and effectively, but you may not know exactly where to begin.

For starters, remember that directory links for your web promotion are absolutely one of the first things to do. A web directory is a powerful tool you can use to achieve web promotion. It is different from a search engine in that when they receive a link from a business, an actual person will go look at the website. They do not use robots to scour the internet, as do search engines. This is good; it gives you a better chance at being listed according to the category or subcategory of your business rather than just by keywords you use on your website.

In exchange for listing your business in their directory, you are expected to provide a backlink to their directory. The two-way linking is helpful for being noticed by search engines, which also boosts your ranking in searches, so it is a win-win for both sides. The search engines may take their sweet time in discovering your website otherwise; they do regular visits to the directories. If your link is on the directory, the search engines will find your website faster because of your link on the directory.

There is one thing to watch out for when listing with directories. If they use an attribute called "no follow" for your link you will not get those important search engine visits. Try to avoid the "no follow" link directories unless they offer a "follow" link service for a small fee. That fee may be worth the cost. Directories do get visitors who are searching for categories. If you are listed and have an active link, it helps bring interested visitors to your website.

Another way to achieve website promotion with links is to place them within articles you post on your website. Links can go into the actual article or be listed separately in a resource box or source listing below the article. The links within the article are anchor links, and they are more effective at being noticed by search engine robots than just listing straight URLs. Put an article directory on your landing page with links deep into your website to help promote those pages to the search engines in addition to the Home Page they normally visit.

You merely register as requested with each directory. They provide you a link to use on your website; this link helps to improve your ranking with search engines. A brief description you provide the directory can also bring visitors your way. If you list with an article directory, they want to see articles that related to your website theme.

Any costs you incur related to getting listed in link and article directories should be worthwhile and results should justify your expenditures. Help your website to a rapid start using directory links for web promotion.

Organic SEO Services: Top 5 Landing Page Mistakes to Avoid

Creating a landing page is different from setting up a regular web page. These pages need special consideration. A landing page is the page on your site where visitors and potential customers arrive as determined by the link they clicked from an article, advert, or directory listing. Its purpose is to inspire the visitor to complete your conversion action. Unfortunately, many webmasters and online marketers create pages that turn away visitors instead of engaging them.

Here are the most common five landing page mistakes to avoid:

Not Offering Value

If a potential customer finds your page and asks "How does this benefit me?" would the answer be clear? Make sure that your page clearly states your goal. Can the visitor understand your offer and what you're asking him to do to get it in less than five seconds? If you want people to do something, you have to ask them explicitly.

Having a Weak Headline

As soon as someone lands on your page, the first thing he should see is a strong, eye catching headline. You only have three seconds to catch people's attention before they leave your site. Make sure the link they clicked on to lead them to your page is consistent with the content and the headline. Your headline should contain a clear description of your offer, a clear action, and an explanation of the value of your offer.

Not Clearly Defining Your Goal

Before you set up a landing page, determine your goal. Do you want to make a sale? Do you want to build your list? Not having a clear call to action will affect your landing page conversion negatively.

Not Focusing on Customers

Many website owners and copywriters tend to write about their business instead of focusing on customers. Change the focus of your content to your prospects. A successful landing page should never be generic. Instead of writing: "Our products come with a one year guarantee," say "You will receive a one year guarantee on all products." Write in second person and address directly to your customers.

Adding Worthless Links

Adding links with no value is one of the biggest mistakes that immediately kill the conversion rate of your page. It is essential to use links that take people closer to the conversion goals. Keep your copy to a minimum and don't overload your audience with extraneous information that isn't needed to help the conversion.

If you need help creating your landing page, hiring a virtual assistant is a great choice. Many independent contractors who are offering organic SEO services can set up your landing page and promote your products to the target audience.

Backlink Building: Practical Link Building Tips for Blogs

Whether you have a personal blog or a business website, you need to focus on link building in order to drive traffic to your content and gain online exposure. Blogs are simply websites with some special features. Getting a website to rank well involves a number of factors and the same goes for blogs. Links from reputable sources make it easier for search engines to find and index blog posts in search results.

Here are a few tips on how to build links for blogs and gain popularity online:

Guest Blogging

Guest posting or guest blogging is perhaps one of the most overlooked methods for creating one way backlinks to your website. This strategy involves writing relevant posts for other blogs and sites. The author of the post is allowed to include a link to his website in the resource box. The links that you obtain will be easy to track. Your posts will be published on sites and blogs that are relevant to your business.

High Quality Content

The best thing that a blogger can do to build relevant links is to focus on writing high quality content. There are millions of blogs out there, but only a few of them provide compelling content that it's worth reading. Do proper research before writing your posts. Analyze your target audience. Search engines love fresh content, so publishing new posts regularly will help your blog rank better in search results.

Blog Commenting

Blog commenting is one of the most effective ways to establish credibility online and get inbound links. In order to be successful, you need to provide unique information that is relevant to that post. You should only comment if you have something valuable to add to the discussion. Make a list of blogs that are related to your niche and post comments regularly. This way you will build lasting relationships with other bloggers and they will start linking back to your posts and commenting on your blog as well.

Social Bookmarking

Encourage your readers to bookmark your posts and share them on social media sites. Shared links can be a useful signal for search engines. Sign up for a Twitter account and then link to your blog from your profile page. Set up a Facebook fan page. When using these sites, focus on social media interaction with and around your blog. Be genuine and interact with your readers on a constant basis.

Getting quality links for your blog is time consuming. A company that offers backlink building and organic SEO services can help your blog rank better in search results and build loyal readership. If you need help promoting your content, consider hiring an expert.

What to Know When You Hire a Link Building Service

A quality link building service uses solid advertising techniques to bring customers to your page. Link building means that a business will create links that are relevant to the unique content of your page that will help bring in more traffic for your business. They key here is to create links that provide the right kind of information so you can target people that are more likely to be interested in the information or products on your page.

Creating Quality Links

Some businesses try to create as many links for your page as possible. They may spam web forums with prewritten posts that are filled with links to your site, or create automated responses that will be posted every time someone writes about a topic that is relevant to your web page. In some cases, link building businesses create websites that are nothing but directories for links to their clients' pages. These techniques will not bring you in more traffic because it will be very obvious to users that your links are part of an annoying spam campaign.

Wait Patiently to Get Better Results

Solid link building techniques will not work overnight. You need to find the right forums to post your links in so that they are being seen by the right kind of people. Look for forums talking about the same topics your website features, and post your links here, along with a thought-out post explaining why your webpage is a credible source in the discussion. A solid service will be able to recommend the best places to place your links to get this kind of traffic and attention.

Finding credible places to place your links takes time and so does establishing yourself as a credible source. The key to link building is to get people to come to your website to recommend your page to other people. When people are satisfied with the information you provide, they are more likely to repost your link and tell others about their positive experience. This gives you free advertising and exposure that will grow over time. You also hope that when you place a link, people will respond with comments on the original page backing up the claims in your ad. If your link is followed by several posts that say your content was helpful, more people are likely to click on your link.

Making Viewers Happy

In the end, the success of your page depends on the satisfaction of your customers. You want them to appreciate the content of your webpage so that they will want to recommend it to others. If they click on your link and get no new information on the topic you were discussing, they may give you a poor public review instead. Then others will be less likely to follow your links, no matter where they are placed. A solid link building service should help you create engaging and interesting content in addition to placing links so this problem never surfaces.

This is an attempt to try to explain exactly what link building service is and why it is important to a person's business website.

7 Reasons You Should Start Your Link Building Campaign Today

The most important reason you want to start an link building campaign is to improve your search engine rankings and get free traffic from Google, Bing, Yahoo and all the other little search engines of the web when people search for your topic. Links to you from other sources says to their algorithms, "Hey, look at me, I'm important when it comes to this topic."

The second advantage of a link building campaign is simply exposure of your name and becoming known as an expert on your subject matter. If you're the best tomato gardener in the world and garden bloggers start linking to you because they like your information then their readers are going to see that and come check it out because they trust their opinion, and in turn those readers might mention you too, and so the cycle goes.

Link building helps establish your value. People don't like to link to things that are spammy, so when you're getting authentic links from real sources it shows readers and search engines that your content is valuable in some way. After all, no one wants to read heaps of keyword filled spammy junk online, they want solutions to problems, tidbits of interest, and maybe a little bit of entertainment when they're coming to your website.

In many cases building links to your website can be completely free advertising and marketing for your website. Why pay for high priced banner ads and crazy services when you can build an online reputation that will last for a long time to come? All those little links you gain today will continue to serve you in the coming days, weeks, months, and years of business online.

One really big reason to start a campaign like this is simply that your competition is not doing it. Think about that for a moment. You are likely in business to make money. I know I certainly am. If you can gain a little bit of a competitive edge with some simple back to basics online marketing that your competitors aren't bothering to do, then it's worth every moment of effort that you can throw at it.

You'll build strong and relevant relationships in the online community when it comes to your topic or niche. This is probably more of a side effect more than anything, because you'll naturally start meeting people in your niche while you work on your link building campaign. Looking at things long term, it's a great side effect of the campaign because those forged relationships will serve you well in the years to come, often times more than any of your other marketing efforts. In other words, getting a link often leads to other things that help grow your business. It's a lifecycle of sorts.

And number seven on my list of reasons to start your backlink building campaign today is that it just works, plain and simple, as long as you do it in an honest and authentic way. While it's not the only tool in the toolbox, it's still an important one in the online business world today.

Link building is a major part of SEO. Easy Link Love is a great beginner class that I can highly recommend.

SEO - Bad Links Are Worse Than No Links

If you own a business and have a webpage, you have no doubt received emails from companies promising thousands of links to your site that will guarantee you a spot on page one of any online search. Hopefully, you have relegated those emails to your spam folder because that's where they belong. Google is taking a hard line on unauthoritative links, crushing the ranking of some websites along the way. Here are some things Google is looking for and what you can do to avoid problems with your site.

Paid Links - If you're buying links, HALT! STOP! CEASE! Google will punish you. Google is on the lookout for artificial and unnatural site links that are intended to effect page rank. If you suspect you may have been penalized for links you paid for, delink from them as quickly as possible. Go back as far as you need to go back. If you've been buying links for 3 years, go back 3 years and delete all of them.

If you suspect you have links to your site that you don't know about, use a tool such as SEOmoz to check your backlinks. There have been occasions when a website has bought links to a competitor's site, and then reported the site to Google. Using SEOmoz will allow you to see what sites are linking to you. If you find a site that should not be linking to you, contact them and demand to be delinked. If your demand goes unheeded, have the rel="no follow" attribute added to them.

Once you have cleaned up your site, don't wait out the penalty. It may take longer than you think. Instead, write to Google outlining the steps you took to clean up your site, and ask for reconsideration.

Widget Bait - Have you ever seen an advertisement asking you to sign up for a website counter? You think it's pretty cool, and it's free, so you sign up. There's a good chance that there are hidden links in that widget. In fact, there is a website counter out there with links to a pay day loan outfit. The website owners who posted the widget didn't even know there were links associated with it. This is an example of widget bait. If you decide to insert a third party widgets into your site make sure that all the links are clickable, readily viewable, and relevant to your site.

A widget that has links in plain site but is not relevant to your site will not buy you a lot of love from Google. Google is looking for links that conform and are relevant to the editorial content of the site it is linking to. If the link within the widget goes to a totally unrelated site, Google will not look upon it as being authoritative and will not give you the editorial vote you need for a higher page rank.

Reputation Management - Google is on the lookout for sites that appear to use a "reputation management" firm. Many of these firms use spammy links to try to push up positive articles on the site. Google is ignoring those links.

As I've said again and again, if you have great, relevant and compelling content on your site, Google will reward you. If you have sites linking to your site because your site is engaging and editorially relevant to the linking site, Google will reward you for that. If your content is unique you will be rewarded. In SEO, hard work and creativity is being rewarded, shortcuts and trying to rig the system is not.

A Successful Website Needs SEO Link Popularity

In order to build a successful website, you have to concentrate on building SEO friendly links back to your page. There are several different ways to accomplish this and inside this article I'm going to discuss the easiest and most effective methods that I have found. Search engines are looking for high quality back links to your site in order to determine the quality of the content that you are providing, so make sure you focus your efforts on quality and not solely on quantity.

A lot of internet marketers have not used the methods that I will discuss and have misused the link building procedure. They have gone for quantity by building back link farms. While these links appear to be beneficial, the search engines do not favor them and might even restrict those sites that have poor quality back links. But those who have taken the time to develop quality links to their sites have a much greater chance of success and will see great results too.

As promised here are 5 techniques you can use to build high quality back links to your site and keep the search engines happy too.

1. Content posting - If the information you publish is of top quality there is a good chance your content will be picked up by other marketers. This means other marketers will publish your content on their sites. Make sure your content contains a link back to your website. When other marketers use your content on their sites having this link is crucial to using this method effectively.

2. Forum Posting - Be a part of some community forums within your market and make sure your signature contains a link back to your site. You should always check the rules within the forum before doing so, as some community forums don't allow back hyperlinks. Once you see that using links are allowed, visit the forum as much as possible to contribute as much as you can. Leave helpful tips and suggestions and members within the community are likely to click back to your site through your link.

3. Link exchanges - Another great way is through link exchanges. In a link exchange you contact other internet marketers and offer to exchange hyperlinks. To accomplish this You put a link to their website on your site and they do the same for you and position a link to your website on their site. This method is very effective plus it helps to establish you as a possible expert within your target market, allowing you to contact other marketers to do the same thing.

4. Commenting on other blogs - Find other blogs within your target market to post high quality comments and feedback on. Don't forget to have your the link back to your site also inside your comment. Make sure you are not spamming these other sites with junk information. Concentrate on delivering quality information and you will be rewarded with a quality back link to your site.

5. Content Promotion - Write content and publish it to article content publishing sites. Most article content publishing sites will allow you to include a resource box where you can write something a little about yourself and more importantly include a back link to your site. Great high quality content will attract a lot visitors and if you use your resource box wisely can be a very powerful tool to drive traffic to your site through the back link.

Well that's it for today. I hope you have found these 5 methods helpful. Remember that to achieve any type of positive results you first have to take action. So I encourage you today to take one of these methods and apply it to your online business today. The results you are looking for could be just a few quality back links away.

Creating an online business can at times be overwhelming. I've tried all of the so called "easy ways to make money online" courses and trainings and have found that none of them deliver the results I was looking for. That was until I came across a gentleman by the name of Chris Farrell. Chris is a full time internet marketer and has some of the best and easiest to understand trainings I have ever seen. If you are looking to get started with an online business, I highly recommend that you check out my website at http://createyourfirstwebsitestoday.com/ where you will find a free gift that by itself will save you months in wasted time and energy.

Techniques to Get Backlinks for Your Website

The techniques used to get backlinks to a website are easy enough for any marketer to achieve. Backlinks are the essential elements of any SEO campaign and can take a website from near obscurity to getting significant traffic and climbing the search engine results pages (SERPS). However, not all backlinks are created equal and to benefit your website, care must be taken to obtain only the best and most valued backlinks.

When backlinks are created intelligently, they will increase the position of the website in the SERPS and will stand a greater chance of appearing on the first page of Google, Bing and Yahoo. This is the desired result because surfers searching with the keywords you are optimizing your website for will be presented with your website if it is at the top of the SERPS. It has been estimated that 80% of all web searches access websites listed on the first page of the search engine results.

By far the best techniques to get backlinks is creating relevant, quality articles and posting them to high quality article directories. Writing quality articles that are not overly promotional and provides information readers will want to read is a good way to obtain good ratings from the search engines. The articles will contain a link at the bottom that will lead to the writer's website and if the article is valuable, readers will want to get more information and will click the link to visit the website. Once there they will get the additional information they seek and will be encouraged to purchase your product or service.

Yet another technique used to get backlinks is by creating a guess blog post on a reputable, high rated blog in your niche. Search engines reward linking to relevant websites, and blogs especially, if the quality is valuable and relevant to the site that is being linked to. Blog owners are constantly looking for fresh content to post and if you should provide that you will receive a powerful backlink in the process. The blog's readers will want to follow your link back to your site. Simply backlinking to a blog will create a no-follow link that will not increase your SE ranking, but contributing a guess post will great more link juice for your site.

Web 2.0 sites such as Squidoo and Hubpages have high page ranking. Creating a site on these properties and providing relevant, valuable content for the keywords you are targeting will provide your website with a good amount of link juice for your business. This is much the same as posting to article directories but you will be allowed to be much more promotional and will be able to add images, affiliate links, surveys and other promotional features not allowed on article directories. You can even provide links directly to products you sell or to other sites that sell such as eBay and Amazon.

Building your own quality site with relevant information about your product or service will gain good ratings in the search engines. The search engines reward sites that are user friendly and make navigation easy for readers. Once your site is recognized as valuable and of good quality other related sites will request backlinks to their sites. This will further increase your rankings in the SERPS and will result in your getting even more backlinks.

Providing quality, relevant content that is targeted to your niche will get backlinks to your website. The important criteria are quality and not quantity.

And now I would like to invite you to download my free report 13 Easy Ways to Build Backlinks to find out how to build massive amounts of quality backlinks for your website to gain more traffic instantly and rise in the search engines.

Directory Submissions Denied? Find Out Why

Don't take it personal when your listing has not been approved. Always keep in mind that website directories are essential to your search engine optimization strategy.

For you to increase your approval rating, the first thing you must do is, pay attention to the guidelines. It does not matter if you have pre-written title or description, because directories come with their own set of guidelines, you must follow each one to help increase your submission approvals. This is one of the key reasons to have more than one title and description. Some short and some a bit longer.

The top reason to change your title and description is; search engines will continue to index your website.

More helpful tips:

1) Website completion - I know once you get your website up, you are ready for the world to see. Some of you forgot that you are still building or creating some inner pages and yes it maybe almost complete, excitement taking over, but you must have a completed website before the world can see.

2) Does your website consist of more ads than information? - If the purpose of your website is strictly for ad revenue purposes, this will increase your rejection rate. Don't get me wrong ads on your homepage or inner pages of your website are ok; it's how you place ads throughout your web pages. Lower the number of ads placed on your website and place ads in places that are appealing to your visitors, advertisers and directory editors.

3) Manual Vs Turbo Submission - For me this is a simple answer, manual directory submission. This process will take time, but worth it in the end. To make sure title, description, category, keyword and email are correct; manual submission is the only way to do it. This will help with proper submissions and help increase the approval of directory submissions.

4) Keywords - Do not over stuff your title and description box with keywords. I repeat do not stuff your title and description box with keywords. This will decrease your approvals; the ones who do approve your website just to have links listed, will not have the chance to be indexed. Not only will the directory be frowned upon but, your website listing will too.

Webmasters, add these tips the next time you visit a search engine optimized directory, that holds weight on your websites link popularity. Being indexed is as simple as following directory guidelines. Before you submit make sure you read the rules first.

Anchor Text Backlinks Examined

When I first heard that there were approximately 14 billion websites on the internet I thought "I heard that wrong"; I thought "14 billion pages maybe but 14 billion sites! No WAY"! I took another look at it and sure enough, it said 14 BILLION sites... unreal!!!

The very next thought was "how does someone in the article marketing business get to the first page of Google with billions of competitors"? Article marketing is a powerful way to get traffic to a website and if done correctly, means getting massive exposure from thousands and thousands of people coming to your site looking for products, services and information.

Anchor Text Backlinks Serious "Link-Juice"

Getting to the first page of Google should be the goal for any serious internet business but getting to the first page may not be enough. The reality is that 80% of the clicks that occur on the first page of Google goes to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd spots on the page. The first spot alone receives about 56% of the clicks. So if you're ranking anywhere below the 3rd spot then just know that you're getting only a small fraction of the traffic that you could be getting.

The key to ranking in the most trafficked spots in the SERP's is to get more "anchor text backlinks" to your site then the other guy. I've heard it said that backlinks are like votes, if you get the most votes, YOU WIN! For those who are using article marketing as their main strategy to drive traffic to their site, they must get the most BACKLINKS!

Backlinks are the backbone in the competitive world of article marketing and if you're not focused on getting massive amounts of quality, anchor text backlinks, you are wasting your energy, effort and time. Period!

How The Pro's Do It

The first element is to write fresh, original content that people are searching for and will give value to the reader. A very successful article marketer personally advised me to make sure I had an intent and that I was solving problems with every article I published. If you peruse the editorial guidelines for submitting articles to the top article directories you'll find that they are very serious about maintaining a good reputation on the internet for providing quality content. No rehashed, duplicate or especially spun articles will be permitted!

The second element for a successfully reaching the top spots in the search engines is to submit your original content with an anchor text link, to the authority article directories. Once your article is approved it will be submitted and you will have successfully created quality anchor text backlinks to your web page. All you need to do at this point is to repeat the process again and again to reach higher in the search engine results page.

That may sound like a lot of work to be able to create a backlink but are you building a business or treating your business like a hobby? If you want to get the most traffic to your site then creating anchor text backlinks is vitally important to your article marketing efforts and the rewards will be in direct proportion to how many anchor text backlinks you can get to point back to your website.

Links from relevant sites in your area that already have a presence online are more valuable to your rise in the search engines.

Make sure these are submitted to the relative directories online and that a backlink is put either in their resource box or where the directory directs. It is important to make sure that the article is on your blog or site before submitting or Google will see the article as duplicate and punish your efforts.

• Blog marketing is a good way to get backlinks. You need to get "dofollow" links. If the links are "nofollow" then the search engine will not follow the link back to you. You can register with blog directories that will help you get those backlinks by commenting on other blogs in your niche.

• Video marketing posting on different services, not only YouTube as there are hundreds of other site that can be valuable. Posting on the important or popular ones will get links back to your site. Always remember to put a link on the first line on your video pointing to your site or blog

Tips to Launch an Effective Back Link Campaign

You have spent hundreds of hours to build the best website for hundreds of links in every direction (as far as you area concerned anyway), but you're not attracting much in the way of traffic, what gives? The internet works like the Field of Dreams, right... you built it so they will surely come. Well, unfortunately that's not really how the internet works. Building the best website and putting in the world wide web is actually the first step in a very long, involved process of developing and enhancing your online footprint.

After building your website, you must focus on having those anomalous internet driving machines, otherwise known as search engine robots, to begin crawling your site. While having high-quality unique content is a good start, it's just that, a start.

For instance, the way search results rankings work today, requires your website to generate good-will, otherwise known as trust, with the search engines by having multiple, and relevant in-bound (back) links from established websites in good standing. This means that those websites are currently flagged as possessing high-quality and original content link back to your site in some way. Typically, the higher the page rank of the site with your inbound link, the better. In layman's terms, each one of these inbound links, counts as a vote of confidence, eventually increasing your sites impressions, and click through rates, on the search results for related queries.

So, why not invest in a back link generating tool? Well, you could, and regular use of such tool would certainly increase your ranking in search results fairly quickly, but these services are not cheap. Additionally, you run the risk of running afoul of link spamming detection algorithms used by the major search engines. Additionally, if you are not running your article and back link generating tool from a proxy, you also run the risk of having your IP Address banned on your targeted sites. Granted, there are methodologies and website link diagrams that use a tiered approach to back-link building and mitigate the risk of blacklisting your money site, that is another article for another day.

So what is a small business/internet start-up to do then? Turns out, that legitimate back link building is time consuming, but is much more rewarding than just spamming inbound links on every site out there. As a small business or startup, you should seriously consider generating a handful of initial articles and put someone in charge of getting the articles posted on highly ranked, niche sites as well as article repositories, such as ezinearticles.com. If you continue to generate high-quality articles at a rate of at least one or two a week and submit them to the niche sites you will begin to see results in as little as three to four months. Essentially, you need to focus on promoting the right content to the right people in the right spaces.

You should also consider looking into services that analyze inbound links to your site to monitor your progress. There are several open source and paid options at your disposal, just Google, Bing or Yahoo it. As an example of one free to use service, Google Webmaster Tools offers a fairly comprehensive website traffic and back link analysis tool once you authenticate yourself as the owner of the domain.

Additionally, as an augment to the back link analysis tools, you should also consider a self hosted analytics tool, such as Piwik, which allows for greater control and customization than some of the big box plugins out there. Piwik, for instance, allows you to setup campaigns and tag your back links with campaign tags so you can tell which back links are driving the most traffic to your site and apply what works. Leveraging campaigns allows you to tailor your efforts to achieve maximum results for your efforts.

Keep in mind, that while you are building these back links, do not forget to evaluate and update your own internal links. While these internal links are not as heavily weighted as external links, they do provide some value. These internal links can also help to stream line your navigation. Typically, you should be able to get to any place on your site by going no more than 'tiers' deep into your site. Any more than that, and you should consider re-engineering your website to improve the user experience.

I think that about wraps up some of the basics. Just remember that the back link building process is not a sprint, it is a marathon. You should approach your organic traffic building campaign with a long-view, and do not become discouraged quickly

Are Web Directories Useful for Link Building?

Webmasters have been back and forth with this question: are directories as useful as they were in the beginning of link building. Be your own judge after this article.

I want to start by saying; it's not wise to submit to every free web directory you come across. Always pay attention to web directories you submit to. If your websites goal is to be indexed in search results, websites you link to is more important than the quantity.

Search engines need websites to present in front of their web searchers, quality websites like yours need to be noticed.

A few suggestions to help you find quality web directories:

A directory should not be filled with ads all over the homepage or any page in the domain.Quality listing, with good written titles and descriptions will always display on their website. The directories you submit to must be human edited. This means the directory editor reviews your listing carefully before adding your website.Indexed pages are important. The more indexed pages the better it is for your website.

Web directories are not useful to you, if the directory is not useful to search engines. A few suggestions to pay attention to:

Make sure the web directory is not full of advertised links. Most likely this website is full of spam and low quality listings. (I believe I repeated myself on this point, something to keep in mind)
Instant approval directories should be a red flag for you. This proves the theory of low quality listings, as well categories will have irrelevant link resources. Search engines frown upon these directories and will not index them, this means you will not benefit from a directory like this.
Low indexed pages means, no value or new website. Do your research on any website you wish to link to. Check the history when checking how many pages are indexed.

Keep these tips in mind when you look for quality websites. I suggest that you submit to a handful of useful free web directories that manually review your each listing submitted. As well all content should be updated daily and dead links should be removed from the website.

When link building the option is yours to choose from. A great option is to pay attention to directory lists created by webmasters for webmasters. This way you have a better chance of being indexed by web directories of value. Follow these simple to tips when you start link building.

When link building you should always pay attention to the websites you link to. Some webmasters think submitting to high page rank directories will help increase your link popularity.

The answer for this is; yes and no. Yes if you submit to a quality optimized directory that has been around minimum 1 year. Websites come and go all the time. You must always consider the history a website has.

For example:

- How long has this particular website been live on the internet

- Is this website indexed in search results?

- Does this website look like a link farm website

- What kind of websites do they except in their directory

- Privacy policy

- Help page

- Contact page

- How good is the content of the website

- Has this website been banned from Google or any major search engine? Or is this website currently banned from major search engines.

The reason I say no is because, some website page ranks were not increased naturally but un-natural. These websites have paid fees to help increase their ranking that will only last until next payment is due. You cannot tell if a website has paid for rankings, but an easier way to determine a websites value is to pay attention to the content on their pages. Things to look for:

- how well is the website content written

- how useful is the website information for their target market.

I am sure you already know all websites start out with a page rank 0; within time and good optimization, their page rank will increase quickly. So when you submit your website to any directory pay attention to the content, quality and value the website holds to their web searchers as well search engines.

Remember a page ranked website is important when increasing your link popularity, but content and value of the website you link to, will increase your rankings quickly and last forever.

When you are ready to start building quality one way, back links that last, consider an optimized directory, a trusted source for search engines.

Automatic Backlink Software: What to Look For in a Professional Link Builder

Using a professional link building service is one of the best things you can do to promote your website. A link building expert or an SEO company that specializes in this area can boost your website rankings in search engines and help you attract qualified traffic that can actually generate revenue. A specialist knows how to find the best link building strategy for your site and improve your visibility online.

Link building is one of the most difficult parts of an SEO campaign. It is a continuous process that requires a lot of time and effort. A professional link builder can successfully promote your site and help you obtain relevant backlinks while saving you time and money. Some experts use automatic backlink software along with organic link building to get optimum results.

Start searching for professional link builders on forums, chat boards, social media sires, and freelance sites. The person you hire should have a grasp of advanced link building algorithms and understand how search engine optimization works. Look for people who are creative and have good computer skills. An expert who can innovate on the spot is a real asset. Here are some of the most important features you should look for in a link builder:

• Someone who fits your work culture
• Someone who is self motivated
• Someone smart who picks things up easily
• Someone creative
• Someone with excellent communication skills

Search for people who are competitive and self motivated. The competition is tight on the Internet, so you need to find someone who can boost your site's popularity and help you achieve a top position in search results. Having solid organization skills is vital. Before you hire a professional, ask him to show you his portfolio. Check out the company's position in search engines. If they aren't able to get a top position for their own website, they definitely won't manage to do that for others.

Make sure the company you hire can help you obtain one way links from reputable sources. Even if they use a backlink generator, they should also focus on organic link building. Ask about the strategies that they are going to use. A good link building service provider should be familiar with directory submission, article submission, press release distribution, and guest posting. Take the time to evaluate each candidate with a long term scope because successful backlink building campaigns require long term relationships.

Guest posting is an effective way to get backlinks and build your online reputation. This strategy opens a whole new world for you and your blog in terms of traffic and exposure. It is a win-win for both the blog host and the guest poster; the blog host gets unique content and the guest poster gets exposure. However, you can't post content on just any blog. It is important that you write posts for high quality blogs that are relevant to your niche and receive targeted traffic.

With a few advanced search queries you can find several blogs where you can post fresh content. Google is your friend. Additionally, if you have a well established site and know a few people in your niche, ask them if you can guest post on their blogs. There is no doubt that this will be the first way to start growing your audience and establish your online presence.

Join a guest posting community. There are several online communities that connect guest bloggers with people looking for fresh content. These sites allow you to submit a request or offer to write content for other blogs.

You can also find some good guest post opportunities in blog directories. You have pages after pages of blogs in all niches. Backlink Building Service: How to Create a Natural Backlink Profile

Link diversity plays a vital role in search engine optimization. Creating a natural backlink profile is becoming more and more important. Google wants its rankings to reflect the needs of its users. Therefore, you have to use legitimate link building strategies in order to achieve a top position in search results. In other words, you must focus on making you link profile look as natural to the search engines as possible.

Start by checking your existing links. Remove those that don't look natural. Look out for backlinks in bad neighborhoods. There are many online tools that can help you find links pointing to your site. This way you will be able to figure out which links are beneficial for your website and which should be removed.

Vary your anchor text. Using only one keyword or key phrase and building links with the same anchor text will eventually hurt your rankings. It is advisable to build links that have different versions of your desired anchor text. Target multiple keywords when building your anchor text. For example, if you are selling sports shoes on your website, use different variations of your anchor text such as "tennis shoes," "women's sports shoes," "football shies" and "running shoes."

Get different types of links to your website. Try to obtain backlinks from directory listings, social networking sites, blogrolls, sponsorships, professional associations, forums, and guest posts. Don't focus solely on one type of link. You also need to maintain a steady flow of links pointing to your pages.

Don't forget about your internal pages. Don't link only to your homepage because it will look suspicious. In addition, your homepage might not offer the kind of information that a potential customer is looking for. Choose the most important inner pages and link to them. This way you will help both search engines and human visitors find your content easily and get the information they want.

Add your site to as many web directories as possible. Directory submission can help in diversifying your link portfolio. There are premium directories, niche directories and local business directories. Choose those that are relevant to your website and submit your listing. Add a keyword rich description of your site and provide your contact details. Web directories are hosted in different locations around the world, so you will get backlinks from a number of unique domains and IP addresses. If you want to diversify your links, start using guest posting, blog commenting, article submission and other techniques that have proven their efficiency.

A backlink building service provider can help you diversify your links and improve your SEO strategy. Make sure you hire an expert who is familiar with article marketing, forum posting, and link wheel SEO. These strategies are essential for a successful online marketing campaign.

The Importance of Link Diversity

Awhile back I talked about the importance of traffic diversity; that is the importance of ensuring that all of your traffic isn't coming from just one place. This was in the wake of the Content Farm update, later renamed the Panda Update after the affectionate nickname given by his coworkers to the programmer at Google who spearheaded and played a pivotal role in the update in question.

The idea was that no one traffic source is guaranteed and reliable for all time whether that's paid traffic, organic SEO, etc. because one substantial change in the policies of that traffic source and your ocean of traffic has been stopped up to resemble a trickling stream overnight unless you have plenty of other traffic sources coming in.

Today I'm going to talk about something completely different: the importance of link diversity.

Traffic and SEO are inextricably linked, but this primarily will refer to search engine optimization and the paramount role which link diversity plays in it.

Just like you don't want all of your traffic coming from the same place, you don't want all of your links coming from the same place.

Would you rather have just one VERY excited webmaster vouching for your site OR would you rather have an entire caravan worth of webmasters vouching for it:

The answer is pretty clear, variety wins out time and time again. Google doesn't want to see just one site or one type of site linking to your site because that says to them that your content isn't good enough to get links from other sources, and it looks questionable at best.

Just like if you were shopping around and were interested in buying a new product, you'd rather read lots of testimonials from different people about that product as opposed to just one very excited person who likely is just a shill for that company; eventually you want to hear from some other people to get some more opinions.

The moral of the story is to make sure that you not only procure links from a variety of article directories, but from other types of sites like blogs, bookmarks, RSS, forums. Diversity is the cornerstone of any successful linking campaign because it looks natural and looks like you have value content to share with the world. Therefore you should think about varying up your linking opportunities as often as possible to enjoy the benefits of Google.

Link diversity is one of the big Google ranking factors; if you check out the diagram in that post you'll see that it accounts for the second biggest factor in determining how you rank and also ties into and figures into the biggest factor overall. Also check out this post on the importance of traffic diversity.
